It saved me on my second night in a hotel..
This little alarm doesn't cost much but its a GIANT in my book.. I went on vacation for 6 days to visit grandkids. On the second morning in the hotel, I stepped out of the shower and heard low whispery voices in the hall.. then my door knob turned and this wonderful alarm went off.. it screamed and I left it screaming while I looked out the peep hole.. I saw to men in hoodies running down the hall away from my door. I CAN NOT SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT THIS ALARM!. Sadly when I got home again it mistakenly got tossed in the washer.. after the cycle was done lifted the lid of the washer and my little alarm buddy gave a weak scream.. and died. Even after the spin cycle it was still trying!!! lol I'M ORDERING ANOTHER!! DON'T PASS THIS ALARM UP... seriously.. buy it!update: After leaving the alarm in a bowl of rice to dry it out.. and replacing the batteries with new ones.. The alarm has survived and works like new!

Audible Alarm
Although it is not 125 dB, at least it adds to my ohters that are 125 dB which are all hanging on my front door. The Audible Alarm did not work well on the door knob so I hung it on an empty wreath hanger on the front door. The weath hangar moves around and makes the alarm sound sooner rather than later. I was worried that since the alarm is not that loud, that the criminals would just remove the alarm unit and try to figure out how to turn it off while staying in my home. It is more of an aggrivation noise than a noise to make someone run out the house.Until you have ever been in the situation, it is hard to imagine what to expect. Unit is as described and is not as loud as 125 dB units.

Junk
Horrible, mo matter what I do to not make it so sensitive, it still goes off numerous times a night for no reason

Good to go
4 stars not 5 because the battery cover is very difficult to remove. However, the alarm functions well.

Decent
Ok so these are ok. As they seem to work fine, they really are very cheaply made. Very thin plastic and flimsy as construction paper. The idea of them going off when the doorknobs are touched is a great feature that I like a lot. All and all, for the price, they are worth it. I bought them for my mom, my daughter and for my son. It makes them feel safer so that gives me piece of mind.

This works exactly as it claims. I highly recommend.
This works great and I sleep so much better at night knowing that if anyone turns my door handle in my apartment complex the alarm will go off. I'm not sure why some of the reviews here are not good because this works exactly as it says it will. I had to adjust the sensitivity level on one door because it would go off if someone my complex slammed their door. Also I just set that one to chime mode so that it only goes off once and then stops. It works great and it is not very expensive. I highly recommend - especially if you are a sound sleeper!!! UPDATE DEC 8, 2019: I wanted to add that this does seem to use up batteries pretty frequently so I only leave it on at night. When it starts to run low it will buzz when you turn it on and you will be able to tell. Keep a lot of AAA batteries on hand because it takes three. Also, what I did to prevent accidental setting off of the alarm on my door handle was put a small piece of cloth on top of the door handle and then place the alarm on the cloth as a buffer to small vibrations so it does not go off if someone in the complex slams their door - and that has worked perfectly.

Great door handle alarm!
I bought this for a sliding glass patio door. I was concerned about how it would hang on the door handle but it fits well. It seems sturdy and it barely weighs anything so it's excellent for travel. The only negative for me is that the battery compartment uses a tiny screw to open and close (2nd photo). That's a AAA battery so you can see how small the screw is. I recommend to install the battery on the middle of a table with good lighting in case you drop the screw. It works reliably and is easy to use. The "chime" sound is super loud - it would wake up a deep sleeper - so I haven't tried the "alarm" sound. Vibrate mode has good sensitivity - not too much but if the door handle is touched even lightly, it goes off. I would definitely buy this alarm again. Great product!

GOOD
BELOW GOOD 💩💩 BELOW WHAT I EXPECTED - I bought 4 because the first one was good. I like them because they are simple and easy to use. I wish they would be more reliable. Light plastic makes the feel a little fragile. If they were US or European built they would cost much more. They are good and loud inside the door so it will let you know if someone grabbed the outside door handle or if a loud truck goes by. Sometimes a strong wind will set it off. It is effective outside noise 2-3 feel outside the door...some what effective. The outside noise is noticeable, but diminishes until you reach 15-25 feet. After 25 feet you can notice that something may be going on. Most effective in an apartment. OK for house with very close good neighbors. Not effective in isolated or homes more that 40 feet away from the street.Eventually, the first one, went progressively bad after the first 6 months. Must have had some latent wiring problem and going off at odd times. Then it started to go on and not stoping. I have it now next to the door in case I go on a long trip and I'll let it ring until the battery wears out...or it fixes it self. You know many of these Chinese "Made for America" things have unpredictable problems.I have the second one on the door that has worked fine for the last 6 months. I expect it may have problems in the future a year+ from now.I have two in "reserve", if I have more problems. I put the on the door now and then to ensure they are functioning and to put 3 or 4 on the door for long trips...and to go on as backup to the others.
